Information we collect
We collect information in three primary ways:
- Search and browsing activity: search terms, filters, referral clicks, approximate visitor location (city/state/country) inferred from IP address, and basic technical information needed to operate and protect the site.
- Trial interest forms: name, email address, phone number, contact preference, selected study, optional notes, and basic eligibility confirmations required by the displayed trial listing.
- Sponsor pilot forms: business contact information and high-level study or recruitment context submitted by CROs, sponsors, or research sites.
How information is used
- To present relevant public clinical trial listings and improve the quality of search results.
- To route patient-submitted trial interest to the appropriate research contact or approved pilot workflow.
- To send confirmation messages and operational notifications related to a submitted referral.
- To respond to sponsor, privacy, security, or support inquiries.
- To monitor abuse, enforce rate limits, and maintain service reliability.
Clinical Trial Matcher does not sell patient contact information.
How information is stored and protected
Application data is stored in managed Vercel Postgres/Neon infrastructure. Hosted database connections require SSL/TLS, and storage uses provider-managed encryption at rest. Access is limited to founder-operated workflows during the pilot stage; there is no public staff dashboard or sponsor self-service portal.
Patient consent and rights
Submitting a trial interest form indicates that you want to be contacted about the selected research study and that you authorize the information you provide to be used for that recruitment follow-up purpose. Submission records include a timestamp for operational tracking.
You may request access, correction, or deletion of your submitted information by emailing clinicaltrialmatcher@agentmail.to. We will review requests and respond as appropriate for the nature of the data and any operational, legal, or partner requirements.
Cookies and analytics
The platform may use basic first-party technical identifiers, IP-derived approximate location data, or logs to support referral tracking, abuse prevention, aggregate analytics, and site operations. We do not require users to create an account to search public trial listings.
Public data sources
Trial information is sourced from public ClinicalTrials.gov records and linked to the official study listing. Official study pages and research teams remain the authoritative source for eligibility, recruitment status, locations, and participation details.
Clinical Trial Matcher is an informational discovery and referral-routing service. It does not provide medical advice, determine eligibility, guarantee study contact, or make enrollment decisions.
